Deja Vu

You have returned as
someone other than you

to smash any semblance
of peace and balance.

You bring fear and the unknown,
fear of the unknown.

I have lived this before.

Now I am older, smarter and
toughened by irony.

You do not exist until you
make your intentions known.

You will not be acknowledged
until you give me reason to do so.

You are nothing unless
you decide otherwise.

Great chemistry between the words and the image. I keep finding details in both that support the other. I particularly love the cadence of the poem and the color of the image.
