Angelic feline floating in the sky
That women hold up half of
Independent – apart from
The hosts of clouds and dilemmas
Strong and steadfast – velvety soft and
Black as night and its delicious reveries
Susurrating purr that brings peace, joy
And fur to sink fingers into
To pet and stroke
Angelic Feline floating in the sky
Both before and after the rainbow bridge
Writ high in memories
In the garden and forever
In the sun’s rays wherever they fall.
