Ribbons of azure sky
Float on a painterly tide
While blackfish jump into the horizon
Of an everlasting ocean
Hint of the earth’s curve
You’ll never reach
There’s so much down there unknown
Deep mystery mostly ignored
It’s hard to say much of anything
When sunlight sparkles on waves
Imagine a coded message
With answers you’ve needed
Like where did we come from and
Why are we here
Will you see the dead again
In some beyond place
Or are you stuck
With the ocean’s beauty
Stabbing your heart alone
