After the End Times
By Jennifer Fendya
Inspiration piece

I imagine you dead.

You gave your car
to her your house
I have your wedding photo album
in a plastic bag saved from a box
you left
in my basement full of motor oil and
spray paint for your truck

How strange to see you
both together young hopeful

What should I do with these photos?
Put them on the porch
of your house for sale now
perennials I gave you
sprouting up in the lawn?
When I see them the grief wells up
like a spring we spent
a long time ago.
