The Color Spectrum
By Charles Waters

Galumphing in the wild after morning showers

An elephant gets sucked into a rainbow colored vortex.

Mutation begins …

Ears: Fuchsia colored folds.

Trunk: A salmon scrubbed sliding board.

Eyes: Lemon tinted corneas.

Husks: Maroon plated spears.

This crescent pachyderm spins out of color spectrum,

happy for a break, resumes afternoon exercising.
