Julia Trimboli and Charles Waters

Julia Trimboli

City of Mercy
By Charles Waters
Inspiration piece

Blood drizzles down my visage,
It’s raining bottles, rocks, bricks.
Sirens wail, same old tale, rainbows of light
Reveals brothers and sisters screaming
For a God that will never arrive.
Police officers fence themselves;
Helmets fastened, rifles stacked,
Our town is a human whirlwind
That refuses to stop spinning.
