Inspiration
At last we’re all back here again
The Wall encircling us safe
The birds, the rain, the flowers pose
As the artists look and wait
The brushes swish and the little paints try
To mimic our beauty and shape
Appreciation fills the air
All life is bubble and bait
The bait of breath and heart and love
The wall is warming and stonily speaks
And grays and blacks and pinks and yellows
Dance in sketchbooks these artists will keep
And so the ballet of season and hope
Begins again another year
And no matter what visits in our darkened winters
The sketchbooks have captured the beauty now here.
