She, half
Madonna Negro,
half Tara Buddha
beauty
personified
in peaceful
repose.
Upon her head
crown of flowers
yellow and red
though her
golden eyes were
closed
all worldly
compassion arose
From below her
center
throat inscription
read “Open
Heart.”
A strawberry
colored inked one
did rest upon her
breasted part
along with crossed
double helixes
of X and Y
chromosomes
life structures of pears, and butterflies,
aged turtles, and wisened Crones.
All this and much more she brought
to this fevered world so fraught
by those who only thought
of self and not of others.
Her message clear and plain
love our sisters love our brothers
do this right again
or repeat many lifes of pain.
