Kissing Phobia
By Julia Laxer
Response

My eyes
were her eyes
in the mysterious room
where neither of us
wore a face.

My eyes were
in her living
room of doubt
and soiled
dresses.

Give me / Give me.

Give me a kiss,
dark-eyes.

Give me a listen.

My eyes
were in the same sentence
as hers
and neither of us
wore any letters.

We stand tall
with clothes on,
and I want answers.
