Response

I might have made a mess
By Charlotte Rauner

Inspiration piece

Excuse me, well,

I’d like to say.

But what to say?

That I hate

Hate?

Know nothing about

Knowledge?

That English is a lie,

And lying is a form of English?

And medication doesn’t help you get better.

It’s a thought,

And thinking is confusing.

I’m confused about

Confusion.

And I’m not sure what I want my eyes to see,

Or my pen to write.

For the ceiling is white,

My thinking is baffled,

The sand might never glisten again,

And I might have made a mess in the soap box.

I love the inner dialogue paired with the face in the mirror. Wonderful chemistry here!

and we really enjoyed both the art and the poetry.
    Keep going!
