Angels and Edges
Response
Angels fall
scraping the edges
withered wings
cannot lift them.
Cut and bruised
falling for reasons
forgotten.
Cerulean corners
points of gray and tan
a rainbow of angles
they are surrounded
on every side.
Once shimmering feathers
ripped and worn
at least slow
the unbroken plummet,
ever downward
for all time.
