Petals, tiny fingers, giving birth to brush
Paint leaching color from the flowers as
Sunshine shakes the hand of blue sky
and paints the landscape glowing and on fire
The colors of summer
the vitality of the French countryside
The memories of travel and discovery
painting in the light of the masters and impressions clear and arching
this is living in the air,
in the light,
in the perfumes of the flowers
