Conversations at the Hirschorn
By Kathleen Finn Jordan

Bulbous figures play in “Conversation”

Sculpted into liquid stone expressions daring us

To recall the light, the airy, and malicious words that

Trip from tongue as gathering together

We chat. We converse. We share impressions Munoz has captured here

We smile and frown and remember

The casual chat that seals the fate of some and

Encourages others to roll on grass and

Freeze and flow

Still photos of ourselves and others

Provocation of quiet thought and revelation

Memories of playing statues as a child.
