she arose from waves
powerful and mountainous
a sight to behold
she threw her head back
hair cascading wildflowers
seeds and sustenance
we opened our mouths
feasting without gratitude
entitled with greed
she opened her mouth
spewing poisonous fruit and
shook us off like fleas
