Inspiration piece
They come to pilfer
this house where the
door is always open
to petite larcenists.
They flit through halls
looting then leaving, tiny
pockets full, pants dusty
with pruinous bloom.
They return day after
day, petty thieves whose
credo demands they take
no more than enough.
